Fremont Orthopaedics is excited to announce that Dr. Ben Francisco and Dr. Cory Lamblin will be extending their practice to perform some outpatient surgeries at Western Wyoming Medical Center (WWMC).
WWMC is a new and modern AAAHC fully accredited ambulatory surgery center (ASC) located in Lander. Ambulatory surgery centers offer healthy patients the opportunity to receive same day surgical care in a comfortable outpatient setting. Patients and their families will benefit from the convenience and accessibility of the surgical treatment offered at WWMC. Patients progress through the preoperative preparations, surgical procedure, and postoperative recovery before being discharged home without having to enter a hospital environment.

About WWMC
WWMC is dedicated to offering the highest quality of patient care with surgical procedures performed by board-certified surgeons Dr. Ben Francisco and Dr. Cory Lamblin, assisted by a specialized and experienced team of registered nurses and surgical staff. In contrast to a hospital setting, the staff and resources of WWMC can be solely dedicated to the care of scheduled surgery patients, promoting efficient care and a relaxed environment. Patients also generally find ASCs to be a cost-effective alternative to inpatient care and pay significantly less than having the same procedure in a hospital setting.
At this time, Drs. Francisco and Lamblin are offering minor procedures that can be performed under local anesthesia (injection of numbing medication) at Western Wyoming Medical Center. These currently include:
- Carpal tunnel release
- Cubital tunnel release
- Trigger Finger release
- Cyst removals
- Nailbed repair
- Tendon repair
- Laceration repair
- Other select procedures typically involve the hand, arm, or feet.
This summer, we hope to be expanding our surgical offerings to a more comprehensive array of orthopedic procedures, including:
- Fracture fixation
- Hand, wrist, and elbow surgeries
- Shoulder surgery and arthroscopy, including rotator cuff, tendon, and labrum repairs
- Knee surgery and arthroscopy, including ligament and meniscal procedures
